I Am Poem by Brady Ness

I Am

I am the the darkest recess of your mind
The twisted snake whose coils bind

I am the prison that you fight to escape
The weight on your shoulders that will forever drape

I am the the fog that steals your sight
The one that likes to come at night

I am the place you visit in your lowest times
The place you go to write down your rhymes

I am the embodiment of your loneliness
and I am the closest friend you will ever have

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Sounds a lot more depressing than I had intended. It was meant to have the message of serenity in loneliness.
