Brady Ness Poems

Ever since an egg music filled its heart
This little bird wanted to learn the art
At night it would dream of all these things
and ever on the songbird sings
...

The world will wait for its chance to laugh
but I say fear not friend, stand up, dance
the world will judge, and even be snide
and I say fear not, for we are most alive
...

So long had I kept my guard up
That I forgot the meaning of the word love
Until that night when you walked in
Disarmed me with your smile
...

4.

I am the the darkest recess of your mind
The twisted snake whose coils bind

I am the prison that you fight to escape

Flight Of The Songbird

Ever since an egg music filled its heart
This little bird wanted to learn the art
At night it would dream of all these things
and ever on the songbird sings

For so long it was to scared to leave its nest
Until it realized with a gift it had been blessed
One day it found the courage to stretch its wings
and ever on the songbird sings

It flew wherever the wind did blow
For anyone who'd listen it put on a show
Soon in the domain of music it was the king
and ever on the songbird sings

Immortalized by the melodies it rang
Old age had come but yet it sang
Till death had come to it in its dreams
Yet ever on the songbird sings...
