I Always Rise. Poem by Nasiphi Mbongeni Dlangudlangu

I Always Rise.

Rating: 3.0

Lying on the ground helplessly,
Struggling to breath,
I heard their laughter from distance as they walked away from me.
We've defeated her, they believed- those were my poor enemies
Am still alive, I whispered

Courage found me,
Strength reached me,
Fear escaped my path,
I slowly rised up,
I shook off the dust,
I shouted;

You almost killed me,
You crushed my spirit,
You thought you have broken me, little you knew was that a DIAMOND cannot be broken.
You thought you have destroyed me, little you knew was that I ALWAYS RISE.

You should've buried me and sealed the Grave when you still had a chance.

I always RISE UP!
I always BOUNCE BACK!
And I always beat the status of being a VICTIM and shine as a SUVIVOR.

that's me, I always rise
I always rise,
Regardless of situations,
I always rise and leave my poor enemies disappointed.
