Hymn To Tears Poem by Biwot Kevin

Hymn To Tears

She died
but her breath, her fragrance remained
her lovely voice in my mind detained
her deep love my pure heart had stained
that i sank in sadness, pained, migrained
or why did she die?

she fled
but her grace all over she left
and like an orphan i was bereft
i went around, i mourned i wept
and on my bed sleeplessly i slept
was it true everything she'd said?

or where is she
for these memories are more than real
when our lips did our emotions spill
that her smile could cancerous sadness heal
or was loving maybe her inborn skill
that she gave me all this joy for free

i drowned
i stood beside her grave stranded
or had i too much of her demanded
that she took the rope to die
or did confessing this sin(love) make her shy?
am drowning still
