How We're Remembered Poem by Randy McClave

How We're Remembered

When our life here on earth is done
Money in a Heaven savings account will be none,
In the end money and possessions doesn't really matter
All that it did was to show greed and to get one fatter.
The money that we had accumulated and saved here on Earth
Will never show our true worth,
Did we use our wealth or possessions to help someone
Or did we use it to lie, cheat, and con.
Every word that we have ever said is written down
Along with every curse, swear word and and smile and frown,
And every lie that we have ever believed or told
Up in heaven they will all be showed.

When our life here on earth is done and completed
We will be remembered for who we used or cheated,
And all our wealth and possessions we will leave behind
And also the times that we should had been kind.
We should not ever worry about material things
Cars, watches, clothing, jewelry or rings,
What we should worry about is our sister or brother over there
Maybe God wants us to be an answer to their prayer.
I want to be remembered for my kindness
Not for hate or lies or to my brother a blindness,
I don't want to be remembered as handsome or very clever
But, I want my love and goodness to live and shine on forever.
