How Sad Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

How Sad

How sad

I saw him on Facebook
back and forth sent message,
and we met.

In Red Rose saw Parsa
we had tea, piece of cake
and converse.

He told me of his past
Read my writes.

Both of us are rooted in same cat
this cat was once Iran, Persia
Mother to the greats.

Some call us invader…?
As see Bush and, Reagan and even,
Stalin, and Mao, and…Hitler.

We, brains, devotions
to the arts and hard work
feel the pain of back home
as well as the shit-hole
New Home.
