How Do I Help You? Poem by royston serrao

How Do I Help You?

Standing in your nakedness
Begging for a penny
worth for goodness
i lend you some money

Back again
Stretched out palms
Eyes in pain
Seeking for an alm

Fragile body
worth a billion money
Art thou nobody
Audited by many

Donated are dollars
in thy name
Nothing in your coffers
Such a shame.

Could as well be a lament for the common man in whose name much is said and little done. Baru Gobira 2010
