how did this happen
i knew better then to dally
but dally i did
and pay the price i must
a price had i known the amount
i would have refrained from giving in
but the urge was greater then i
try as i might the allurement was there
the itch to have was immense
so surrender i did
bow to temptation i have
harbor i will
fool i am
i knew better
how could i trust the words thrown at me
how could i believe that this one moment was worth so much more
god be my guide and show me the light
tell me how this came to be
and unconditionally your servant i will forever endure to be
help me, oh father in heaven, to never repeat
all the mistakes i have committed
why did i give in i ask myself daily
truly remorseful i am
show me the reason and fully repentant i will become
