Things i chose to ignore plague me once more
The doubt i pushed aside
The heavy weight of lies i bore with a smile
The hint of unfaithfulness was completely ignored
I was so naive to have so innocently loved

Trustingly i walked hand in hand
Undoubtedly i stood by your side
Until the fateful day
The day my ignorance became my murderer
Thinking the signs of fading intrest was an illusion
When in all actuality was my reality
The blinders have been removed from my eyes at last
No longer shutting out the truth of your actions
I walk with heartache now
I stand in betrayal
My sight filled with deception

I was naive
And for that mistake I must pay the full price
6 feet under i will lay
Where no lies, no denials, no pain will be felt

The numb feeling of oblivion will take over
And the hold you have on my heart will be no more

My choice to be ignorant was my cure to your poison
But your poison was more potent then even i knew
You have been my downfall
Into oblivion i am headed
And your lies have guided me there
