You hurt me more than I deserve,
how can you be so cruel?
I love you more than you deserve,
why am I such a fool?
You held me in your arms,
But now I know the truth.
As I held on tighter,
All you did was let go.
Every few nights or
so you pop into my dreams,
I just can't get rid of you like
you got rid of me.
Days continue to pass,
stars continue to shine.
Why do I have tears in my eyes today
when he was NEVER mine?
Should I smile because he's my friend,
or cry because that's all he'll ever be?
I am wishing on a star each night,
How can't you see?
