Hope guards the future
If we only dare
To stop our sniveling
And become aware
Of those around us
That are threadbare
We have so much
We’re out of touch
With reality’s face
We’ve become a race
Of greedy humans
And some with guns
Stay true to yourself
Put avarice on the shelf
