Hope Poem by NONSIKELELO NGCONGO

I wait in pain
while my heart is bleeding
tears turned to blood
the sea has turned to red
no-wonder the fishes are moving with the flow.

I lose energy and oxygen
yet suffocation can't resist me.

Daily I survive
indeed there is Hope.

Faith gives me hope
understanding life
trails and tribulations left me strong,
well they say, 'If it doesn't kill you its' makes you stronger.'

They made me humble, caring, loving
even though my heart is turned apart
there is a chance to life.
Trusting strangers, praying for my enemies
wishing the best for those who crucify me
Hope made me stand strong.

The shaking of this bitter world doesn't affect me
I'm not affected by all these actions
cause I know my position and a solution
to solve the situation i come across in life...

Hope spoke to my life and kept me alive
and gave me Hope to hope for what I believe in.

I am hated for loving
judged for caring
hunted for smiling
rejected for my kindness.

I look beyond boundaries with my binoculars,
well nothing seems so far,
well that is faith for Hope,
limitations are limited to my standard
I go beyond as an eagle
I am something because of Hope
taking the backseat gave me a better view...
through Hope.
