Hong Kong Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Hong Kong

Hong Kong

Treaty named: "Durand."
Was written with Afghans
Exactly like Hong Kong
(Britain and China!)

Britain of those days
Was as is, the jackal:
"In due time will return, "
But gave it to others…

She, neither did
Nor cared!

The lands there, is part of
"Form terror; send it out! "

A look at ideas
Like "Murder is Halal, "
In the name of Jihad
That is now, not local
But around the globe
With blood on blood
By using IEDs
Or guns or the drones
Speaks of "Durand! "

Then "The East India, "
Which divided to parts,
(Include Pakistan,)
Belonged to Majesties
(As claimed by London) .

On behalf of Queen
Wrote and signed Durand
In tongue of English
And at end, if any
Can be found letter X
Representing locals…

Same were most treaties
In North West Canada.

Britain always was
Sibling of the fox.

She promised lot but
Turned her back as came time.

Look at the First World War
With Kurds and Ottomans;
Each received promise
None, ever, was fulfilled.

Arabs have become pawns
To sell oil and buy guns
To use and shed blood
Of the poor Palestine
Not of who occupied.

Here, land was given
To cousin, named Rupert
Who built, ran, HBC;
And later, the Queen
Sold it to Dominion…

Whose land and on what base
Was given to Rupert? And owners?

They lost life and the games
Were expelled from tents
To become the farmers
That never loved, nor cared!

All of these are stoves
Built by the governments
Of the Kings and Queens,
Later run by their kids;
In the name of their faiths,
Dirtiest of "Trades! "

The revolts in Hong Kong
Is nothing but shades of
Same devilish actions;
With change in the method.
