Hollow Words Poem by Jade Deakins

Hollow Words

Ink carries no meaning
It's anchored within the words you write
Like a four letter word merely fallen from your seductive tongue to summon the night
Is by no means meaningful inside
Hollow words are deceptive to the ear
By crooked lips declared sincere
You tell me you love me
Why do you leave me here

It's so easy to speak meaningless words just to make another feel better. Wonderful poem!
