Holding On Poem by Chant Gud

Holding On

Rating: 5.0

Alone in the world no one to help her,
Her burdened heart and shattered soul,
Too broken to be whole,
Prolonging the emptyiness within,

Life is not hers to live,
Her glazed eyes unaware,
As if nothing exists,
Although she breathes she's invisible,

No one cares to ask 'are you okay? ',
Instead they watch her tears,
Overflow her eyes,
Her pain searing through her heart,

She doesn't know who she is,
She's lost the essence of her being,
No one to save what's broken,
Too difficult to stay by her side,

Feeling abandoned, an outcast,
Her defenses rise to protect,
A fragile teen confused and suffocating,
Feeling trapped wanting freedom,

She wants to end it, escape the pain,
With a single action once and for all,
It would be the easy way out,
But she refuses and fights,

To her life is valuable,
Even though she will always be broken,
She fights for the day she will be alive,
Knowing she never gave up, never
