Hold The Moon Poem by Nancy Fischer

Hold The Moon

Rating: 4.5

Like the fairy tale perfectly written
He takes my hand,
shows me why

Faces bathed in shades of blue
Starlight from the sky

Lightening flies,
now fire chills
His whisper in my ear
Far away
on the crest moon
unmoving now
Tranquil
still

This place he takes me by the hand
Where nothing,
Not even love is blind.
Tender chimes forever ping;
Angel wings aflutter sing
old lovers
Joined
Forever bound

Sweet scent of ripened strawberries
Blows through cool blue air
His eyes roam over me soft and wild
Rain forests pour down sheets of gold
Wet with warmth from orange sky

Shades of green rush from my eyes,
Blades of grass
Grow jungle love

And so it is
This man and I
Born of earth and air and sea
Combined as one
In each others eyes
Still all
We’ve ever been
