This energy that emanates from me
Producing a sensation of brightness
Makes seeing possible
All truth and awareness
No fading light am I
Fire
The glint from my eye
Window from my soul
Illumination
Truth
Aware
This light
My own
Revealed to me, you
The former light of my life
Cherished then
Disavowed now
Renounced
A mere flicker to my glow
Smoldering
Merely smoke with no flame
Suppressed
Living life in the background
Afraid and content to burn slowly
The smooth breeze of your “right”
Lingers over you
A dim light
I now accept as true
Yet for so long believed
Was meant to shine
