Hide Away Poem by Taylor Naussner

Hide Away

Rating: 5.0

You hide away,
Deep inside.
No where to go,
Don't lose your mind.

Just be strong,
Look in my eyes.
I'll always be here,
Right by your side.

But yet I'm blind,
To what you are.

Intriguing poem, but I'm not quite sure I understand what the last two lines really mean. Is the speaker blind to what kind of creature is there, or maybe knows it's a person but is blind to what kind of person?

The person is talking to him/herself through a mirror like a different person, because in his/her mind that person is a beast
