Here Without You Poem by Zoe Christo

Here Without You

So again here I fall
Without you by my side
Feel the pain set in
And avoid the feeling that I wish to die

Why do I place so much upon you
Raise all my hopes in destiny to reach
That higher love you give
But no longer will I ever feel that

Why have I been banished
Your warmth now be cold inside me
No longer set alight, no longer free
I will never understand why this wasn't meant to be

I can spend the hours in memento's with you
But little do you know me anymore
How we've gone our ways
And now I'm left without you from day to day

My wisdom lets me down
No, I will never understand why I let myself down
How I let myself get so close
How I allowed myself to drown

Inside your maze of wonders
I will never forget to ponder
On that first occasion we greated
How I never knew how biteersweet I would be treated.

But lady, please go
Leave from my mind
Let me sink in peace
Alone in my solitude and hide

Never see me in such a state
As a gracious girl can never behold the fool
Leave without a trace
And never forget what you may now regret

How this still pains
And delusion is a hopeful escape
Reality beckons and once again,
I don't wake to you in the morning.

When will this memory regress
Anger fills my chest with this curse you've placed
Intoxication fills my mind
And the devil fills my lungs

Please go, leave me alone
In my solitary place
where I feel to remain for the rest of my days
Without that light you once shone.
