Friendship. Is an interdependence between two people
Regardless of miles or thoughts apart
You know they'll be there when you fall
You have faith, hope and trust they'll congratulate you when you have it all.
You go to them without fear of rejection or judgement
You confide your mind to them and express your truth
You give as much as you can in return
To form a strength of reciprocity to hold you together through the struggles of life.
Two individuals on completely autonomous paths
However you still feel parallel to them deep within your heart
These people you have a friendship with
Are the ones who ring within you no matter where you tread your feet
It's a timeless love that's nurtured and strengthened over the years
It's a roller-coaster of shared experiences communicated in the clear
It's a companionship sharing all highs and low
Being there to soften the blows and to elevate the euphoria.
It's time shared together that's treasured and kept safe in memory
It's a future to look up to together without fear or misery.
Although the times been short, my resilience to cherish you is sincere
I respect every word, I'll keep secrete every tear
I'll hold you closer the most
