Here Poem by G J Salgado

Here

I came all this way to meet you
Traveled these lonely miles just to see you
There you are I remember you
You are right where I left you
I came here to get a look at you
I knew when you saw me that you'd touch my hair
You've been wondering how did she get here
The smell of your cigarette in the air
Still lingering in your clothes and your underwear
Just the way I remember once we've made it there
You probably thought I've forgotten all about you
Didn't you; how long have you been looking for me
While you were miles away from our past; what did you do
Of all the things I could've loved the most this was the way it used be...
Of all the things I could've loved the most about him is how I could feel his heartbeat as he stood behind me each time he stole my soul
Now that we've changed, now that you have me, and now that I have you; I'm never going to let you go
