Her Perfumed Breath Of Lust Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Her Perfumed Breath Of Lust

Rating: 5.0

Love can be
A miracle surprise
Beaming from
A stranger’s eyes
Whom you meet
On a city street
While the stars
Are dancing around
Her angelic soul
Hypnotizing and
Mesmerizing you
Into psychic rapture;
You take her hand
And walk to the beach,
The beautiful music
Of seashells jangling
Provide the soundtrack
For seduction,
Her small earrings
Beckon your mouth
To kiss and nibble
The ears they adorn,
Her body is warm
As you excitedly inhale
Her perfumed breath of lust,
You’re pleasantly paralyzed
With ecstatic joy!

Dear Uriah, Fine poem, this one! The details of the seduction and the marvelous surprise when passions (at least) are reciprocal shimmer with life and vitality. I only have one small technical quibble, the word so in the final phrase may not be necessary and may, in fact, break the rhythm of the line. It adds little. Think about it, just an editorial thought from an old grammarian. Best, Hugh
