Her Eyes Poem by Jermaine Murray

Her Eyes

The beauty held within her eyes, disguises the pain held deep inside.
The thoughts of loved ones exploring darken paths unaware of the
dangers up ahead. She does everything to steer him from the wrong. She
wishes a life thats happy and long. It's her last wish to see her son
dead dying or harmed. The thought that I could cause pain to God's
greatest gift to me. The woman who gave birth to me. Know that I hold
you high above all. And despite my mistakes I love you with my all. My
strength, my wisdom my Champion. My dearest mother what I would do to
hear you laugh again. I'm sorry for the hurt and the lies. The pain I
caused whenever I look into your eyes. Know that these dark days will
pass, and things always look greener on the other side of the grass.
It is my lifelong goal and mission to see you smile, when I set foot
on the word's stage with my head held high.

My Rock.
My Hero.
And the first individual to ever love me unconditionally.

I love you Mom. You're everything to me.
