Heaven's Only Half As Happy If You'Re Not Here Poem by David Thomas

Heaven's Only Half As Happy If You'Re Not Here

heaven's only half as happy
if you're not here (with me) ,
i love you with all of my heart,
baring no limits to the cause
and i'd hold you all the longer
and walk side by side in life
except you said it'll never happen,
so i cry inside my head
Life has never been so cruel
as to spell out a saddening future
as if a blind man's first sight
filled with people being murdered,
their bodies in pieces and their hearts
hanging hurt like mine.
