Heaven Poem by Tony Phung

Heaven

I went to sleep last night and had a dream
Of a world unfouled, pure, and clean
Where every man, woman, and child was free
And never there was a need to be
Anyone's slave
Liberty and justice was brought to all who craved
We just lived happy and we just lived free
In my world of perfect harmony
It was paradise the land I saw
So stunned was I, I couldn't close my jaws
Food was abundant and gone was famine
No starving children, living conditions humane
No hopeless people with ruined lives
No sad mothers with tears in their eyes
No child crying over broken promises and lies
Nobody dies
Eternally we live in kinship and love
In the land of milk and honey hidden above
Green was the grass and blue was the sky
Freedom was sovereign, no one to deny
I, of my rights, and wants, and needs
Free to roam and love and climb the trees
And should I fall, I fall into loving hands
For everyone is family in this wonderful land
Every man a father, every woman a mother
Every girl a sister, every boy a brother
There was no pain, sorrow, or anguish
There was no sin, vice, or vulgar language
We did not hate each other
There was only love for one another
There was no hate or discrimination
Everyone was content, in peaceful relaxation
There was no destruction, only creation
Everyone an artist, of the highest qualification
There were no lies or fabrication
Only altruism in pure manifestation
There were no problems or ramifications
Like a perfect family vacation
There were no arguments or altercations
We were united, we were one nation
Nouns, adjectives, pronouns, and verbs
This wonder can't be captured by words
No high kings or beggars
Just people living in happiness, equality, and prosperity
