Hearts Cross The River Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Hearts Cross The River

Love flies like an eagle
Hunting for tenderness
Watching the slightest movement
Wounded with longing

Fragrance of Aspen
Birch like the golden subdued sun
Eggshells of the owl
Hawks fly over the savanna grass

M y love is amidst blue wild flowers
My feathers are the ancient wind
She gathers the wheat of heaven
Precipice along the borderlands

Hearts Cross the river
