Hear me Syria
Hear me Syria,
Know Aleppo, Golan.
I know you from when,
Damascus was centre,
To science, governance.
I know you as know me,
Both ancient, quite rich,
In knowledge, history!
You observed, I have seen,
Many falls, then risings,
Exactly like phoenix!
You and I, know it well,
They repeat our mistake!
Once Jews were,
Like today in Gaza!
Time has come, stand up,
Shaking hand, hug, and talk,
Share the pasts, then remind:
"Israel of today, my friends,
My cousins, and neighbors,
Brothers and sisters, siblings,
Why should you act like this? "
Look at them right in face,
Then ask them a question:
"By chance, you remember,
What happened to parents,
Their parents, ancestors? "
Of course, do, recall when,
Were homeless, abandoned,
Life in waves, was bitter,
Drowning, shark, and whale!
Of Karma, then tell them.
