Healthy Environment Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Same story is available in each household
Something is added and repeatedly told
Indian household stories are almost same
Each member in the house should be blamed for short sightedness

One thing basically remains to be watched
The good treatment is hardly meted
Either in-laws are impatient or bride fails
To seize an opportunity and tails

Above and all, the dowry part plays great role
The bride is pushed to wall
Asked to bring in as much as possible
Much beyond the capacity of the poor and humble

The children too are less careful
Parents cry in their old age to call them shameful
Everything is taken away from them and pushed to old age home
Whole of the societies have undergone sea change and stands as unwelcome

To whom we do blame or appreciate?
One word is enough to vitiate
The good and healthy environment
There is enough but let us try to prevent
