He Reigns Poem by dave lessard

He Reigns

Don't talk to me of God
if you don't know Him
for if you hate another
you do not,
for Love is God and
God is love -
for us His
precious blood was shed
for us His
fleshly body bled -
Dying for the sins we made
He forgave us for his death
rising three days later
from His grave
after He had taken
His last breath;
He said He'd never
leave us or forsake us
He will return in Glory
some future day
and all knees will
bow before Him
and once ruling
He will have His way.
Then tears shall cease
and sorrow will fade
death shall be no more
in this world we never made.
