He Is Reading Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

He Is Reading

He is reading

He is at chapter two and reads on.

I see hairs fallen, long; tied or not.

At podium an author reads his book.

Impolite, I see him, reading book.

That goes on till he laughs.
(To author’s single joke)

He’s smart, on my mind.
(Two birds and one stone)
He reads book; hears joke.

What if things were reverse?
He too is an author.
Seat would change with podium,
Would he like such audience?

Answer is “Of course not.”
Then this is disrespect and he is impolite.
