Have You ever planted the Short end of the stick?
Tied down to the bottom of a tree
people stare in Awe and think that you're crazy
they tell you to Give up, It's no Hope.

But Despite what they think and say
the short end begins to grow due to your love
the care and attention you give it
Even through scorching heat and brutal cold
you protect it and stand by it
and after all you went through, that stick becomes a beautiful tree.
