Insurrection Poem by Marcus Dandridge

Insurrection

Changing of waves
Chasing of dreams
remembering all of the simple things
times we love to have and hold
a strong rememberence of Goals

As I climb and as I rise
my pride will begin my demise
a lover on the outside
and a rebel at heart
my insurrection draws nigh

All expectations are set me on high
broken promises, and shattered dreams
a myriad of many things
reoccuring many situations

Rage has built up, and anger has set in
the rebelllion in me turns evil within
and as my psyche hypes up transforms me
Insurrection has already engulfed me

And as my journey ends, I stay calm
for I believe that this war I've won!
