Have A Heart, Human Beings Poem by Hebert Logerie

Have A Heart, Human Beings

Have a heart
This is not a good way
To start
A new year
There is too much fear
This is not the best way
To begin a new year
With so much terror
Tears and sadness
Too many deaths
Too much left
To solve, too much
Too many deaths
Too much rudeness
Too much, too much
Violence in our society
There is no pity
For the innocents
No respect for the saints
The angels and the infants.

This is war, this is a crime
People are being killed
For a dime
Too much blood has been spilled
In the streets, in Paris, France
Let's stop the violence
Too much fear
Dear
Too many are dying
Without knowing
Without knowing why
Why, why
Too many cries
Too many lies
Let's eradicate the violence
From our consciousness
Let's stop the violence
The sufferings, the sadness
Everywhere in the Universe
Let's be the first
To stop the madness
Let's choose Freedom of the Press,
Fraternity, liberty,
Decency and equality
Let's have a better heart,
Human beings
And restart,
Like civilized human beings.
