Haunting Love Poem by Isabella Night

Haunting Love

Rating: 5.0

It's all an illusion
Since when did my beauty ever amount to anything?
You loved me...
You used & abused me...
Now that I am with him, you want me more
You deny it, then confess to it.
My light blue eyes -
You so claim to haunt your dreams.
But haunting in the burning passion -
Passion to stare into them once more.
My golden blonde hair -
The yearning to run your fingers through them.
My blushing lips -
Lips that intoxicated you;
Poisoned your brain with every word that slipped through them.
Ones whose kiss you craved.
My warm, pale skin -
The softest touch you had ever felt.
Breath-taking with every intimate, passionate touch.
Most of all; the mystery.
I was the one person you never understood
That intrigued you;
Like I was an unsolvable puzzle.
You took me for granted;
That was poor on your part.
Now he has what you gave up
He knows how much I'm worth.
You never solved the mystery;
Only jumbled up the pieces.
I will always be in your dreams - your thoughts -
The former beauty you loved - still love -
I will always be around;
Haunting you - behind these angelic, blue eyes.
