Steadfast Poem by Isabella Night

Steadfast

You put me in this mood...
Don't stop!
Feeling that wave of effervescence hit me like a hurricane.
I wouldn't ever want to be without you.
I'll let you know I am stubborn up front;
But I don't have to be stubborn to know what these feelings are incorrigible.
Yes I may have my doubts, but I never let go.
You are a paragon that gives me a new found faith;
Faith that there are genuinely good people in the world.
I wouldn't enervate you in anyway.
Stress is something we have both succumbed to.
I love that I can make you smile when you need it.
At least I know I'm doing something right.
Just...that flame ignites when I see you.
But when you look me in the eyes, you kindle it.
You put me in this mood...
Please...don't let it end...
