Why is it that you haunt my dreams?
Nothing is what it seems
In my dreams we are oh so close
But when awake you’re like a ghost

I feel you in my heart
As if you never did part
You aren’t there this I know
Why oh why did you have to go

I know that I have ruined things
I feel it on my heart’s strings
I put you first in all things I did
Instead of family of whom I rid

I treated you badly, this I know
So I left and put out my hearts glow
I’d do anything to have you back
First I must get on track

Someday I hope things will be repaired
Because of all that we have shared
Tell me that this could be true
You know I truly do love you
