Harmless Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Harmless

Harmless

Did my best to be good and harmless.

Went to have my supper
-no meet so no killing
-no blood-fulfilling
-in my mind…decided.

Chose bread, eggplant
-bought the first, boiled the last.'
-'Why not an onion? '
-I questioned, then brought.
-took spoon, cut bread
-made loafs to fit inlet
-heard them all complain:
-'We too have or had life! '
-I was shocked…

Radio had news of Mosul…
-the Yankees 'Killed, murdered!
-…they claim made mistake…'
-I had felt this happen
-that was why I had said:
-'Aleppo in Mosul! '

The world is deaf, blind
-to what is against them
-Yankees now are leaders
-in killing…'By mistake? '
-before them Britain
-we are not innocent
-the Greeks and Persians
-Assyrians, Egyptians
-and the worst are Arabs, Israel…
-So shameless! ! !

'Talk of you, just yourself…' heard me say
-'…onion, eggplant and bread are of Earth
-and the Earth is grave
-to flesh…of the killed and murdered…'

Only way to remain a harmless is going in grave!
