It's hard to pretend that I don't want you,
when the truth is I really want too.
It's hard to pretend that I forgot the past,
when my heart states that our love never lasts.

It's hard to hide the feeling inside
that keeps on pounding my chest.
It's hard to forget the first time we met.
It's really hard to love you less.

Did you just forget, or even regret
the times that you'd hug me tight?
Is it wrong to remember our song
that serenade us both at night?

It's hard to pretend that our love did end.
So please come back inside my heart's jail
It's hard to tell that that was farewell.
