It is your birthday,
and i cant even say,
what comes to mind,
on this joyful day,

What a fool I am!
What you must think of me!
of this pathetic little girl,
that your dark eyes see,

I hope that once in a while,
when your alone,
that you think of the girl,
that you once called home,

Angels protect us,
watch over us while we sleep,
so that you may have another birthday
on which i shall weep
