Happiness Poem by Sara Jo Andrews

Happiness

What is happiness?
Is it a smile?
Is it a laugh?
Is it peace of mind?
Is it found in the arms of a lover?
Is it found in the joys of a child?
What is the meaning of the word happiness?
Is it truly in the eye of the beholder?
Does it lie in old clichés?
Can money truly buy happiness?
What does it mean to be happy?
These questions are asked endlessly.
But is there ever a sound answer for them?
I think not…
Happiness is a smile that hides no pain.
Happiness is a laugh that hides no fear.
Happiness is the peace of mind for a weary soul.
Happiness can be found in the arms of a lover, for a while.
Happiness is in the joy of having a child.
All of these define happiness.
Yes my dear friend happiness is unique for each person.
Happiness can be found, don’t lose hope, you just have to look for it and hold on to it.
