Happenstance Poem by Ravi Kopra

Happenstance

Standing by the sea shore
near the south jetty in November
in Venice, Florida, one cool evening
I see the setting sun ruddying the bellies of clouds
far off in the sea on the horizon.

Awed, I was enjoying the evening though by myself
I turn to my left and see a beautiful blond in a blue bikini
walking towards me, smiling, saying how beautiful is the sunset.
A dolphin with its baby jumped out of waters
took a curve in the air and nose dived instantly.
How wondeful, she said then, and I was delighted to be with a
beautiful, wonderful blond enjoying the sunset at that instant...

Before we parted, we had touched and shared our
email addresses, facebook pages and telephone numbers...

Luck struck
and since then she has been beloved friend
and soon will be a mom to my future children...
