Grey Poem by Neel Bhattacharyya

Grey

Rating: 5.0

Grey is the eternal color.

Can you count the curves
On a maiden rose?
I have seen the core
Grey is the only color.

The mirror has lost its gleam,
I feel like a shadow
Sipping on the Tantalus' cup
The virgin nectar remains far-off
The grey smoke greets me
To the kingdom of light.

I will write my story;
Of the kingdom between light and dark
Where Grey is the only color.

Great poem, personally I like the gray areas, you can do so much with them when using your imagination. Good is truth. Evil is truth. But what lies between them? Can it be called truth also, even though we cannot always discern it. Wow! Your poem has made me think overtime! Very thought provoking as you can see by my comment. Really like this poem and your insight also. Give it a 10! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn

'I will write my story; Of the kingdom between light and dark Where Grey is the only color.' Yes, we prefer to dwell in extremes - good and evil - but the 'truth(s) ' fall somewhere in between... Thank you for sharing Neel.. A thoughtful piece...
