Green Trees Poem by Noel Lorenz

Green Trees

I am looking at the shadows
Of the trees outside my home,
Through the window on the ceiling
Looking like a dome.
More trees all we need
Is all that I can say.

What inspires me of the movement,
The movement of the leaves;
Is that they resemble
A true moment of peace.
More trees all we need
Is all that I can say.

Peace we need and we long for
Is man to give some heart,
To nature's cause and help decrease
The increasing global heat.
More trees all we need
Is all that I can say.

The trees we have
Out there on the ground
Are the ones which keep us alive
By standing on the ground.
More trees all we need
Is all that I can say.

If we don't stop now
They will die
And man will go down too
With no oxygen to hold on to.
More trees all we need
Is all that I can say.

Man need trees to live and play
To make oxygen for us;
To sit under the shadows
On a summer day.
More trees all we need
Is all that I can say.
