Mars brandishes his sword
Yells: 'None of ye better than me'
He then tackles the wind
For this reckless world to see
Any man great to defeat
This mighty God of War; he
Shall be the greatest of 'em
All, who claim to be
A heavy skilled swordsman
With sons next to kin
Who loved and cared for them
And believed they could win
Rode them up Mars' past
Alighted on horses fat
Amid a crowd that gathered
To see who shall last
The first followed tradition
He chose the element fire
The second opted for ice
And played his own desire
So both stood facing the God
Sword in hand and head held high
They marched on forward
Like any ordinary brave knight
Mighty duels took place
But wouldn't end the fight
People stood gaped thinking:
They'd be here all night!
Pretty soon the God grew tired
Yet he could fight single-hand
'Cause the brothers though united
Had no fight that grand
Finally the time had arrived
To choose the real hero
When the brother had a fit of rage
And the people ran to and fro
Screams and yells all around
And the second brother pleaded:
'These people are innocent
Their souls have been mislead-ed'
The stupid brother paid no heed
He failed to control his ire
To which Mars' voice boomed
And whispered to the town-crier
'Hail all: This mighty man' said
Mars from midst the mould
'He ain't that big a warrior
But he has a heart of gold
'The second one is foolish
He shall end cold and alone
For though mighty a warrior
He has a heart of stone'
'And so I declare this man
The greatest of 'em all
For he can fight the fight
As well as take the fall'
Thus cheered the crowd
For the brother who chose fire
'Cause he was the one
Who controlled his desire
