Dad Poem by Sanj13 inluv

Dad

The first breath I took I do not remember
You had waited for me all of December
Finally I came with my pink little toes
Maybe I looked like a tiny bundle of woes

Your careful grip on my delicate waist
You feared the littlest act of haste
You saw my future shining bright
And you hoped to do everything right

I don't think I can measure your love
I don't know why I don't know how
Words can't express my need to say
But in lack of help, just look my way

'Cause when the world goes upside down
And you can't help but sit and frown
I'll be there, just think about me
Maybe I have always meant to be

If I shall be a person ever great to live
It is your sorrow I'd like to give
I'd trade my blessings to you any day
Cause your love is what I cannot weigh
