Grandma what can I say about you oh there is so much
You’ve stayed with me like a mother so dear so fragile to the touch
In your heart I see strength hidden away from the world
I can’t thank you enough you’ve always been with me since I was a little baby girl
You have a lived a life and shown me how to live mine as well
You’ve shown me that love is strong and to get through the past and not dwell
I don’t think I ever told you how sorry I was when grandpa died
I didn’t think sorry would cut it I still don’t if I said it helped the hurt at all id of lied
But you were strong oh so very strong
You made it through with hope and love I think and came so far along
I hope this family hasn’t taken to much toll on you I know they have on me
I’ve grown to fast to soon for my age I’ve had to find who to be
I worry about you grandma its my love for you and in each day it grows
As the years go on time it seems has began to slow
So fear not the future for I fear it not myself
I wanted to wish you a happy birthday because it is and I hope the sunshine’s down today
If it not be promise me not to sway
Away from the wonder of another year here
This precious thing called life this one we hold dear
I feel like were all walking down roads and each one there’s a new beginning and I hope I do not fear
The change that comes with time change is a good thing is it not
It gives us experience knowledge and bring us closer to the happiness we sought
I think you already know I love you more than I could write
Another year and you are here as am I another day another night
I know you grandma inside and out every little bit
I know the pain you’ve felt the love that over came it
So enjoy your birthday with your wishes and our love the cake and candles we brought from the store
And I thank you for everything you’ve done for me grandma I could never ask for more
