Gossip Poem by Nathan Streango

Gossip

Rating: 3.0

We sit and joke, observe others with a microscope,
Prod and poke, like they dead, singing hateful notes,
And we know, that our gossip simply strangles throats,
We blow smoke, anyways like we some heathen folks,

Everyday, you pray, but you’ve gone astray, from the path you claim,
You were never saved, long as you’ve got hate, for other people’s mistakes,
Oh no no no, your just stuck in place,

So you preach, and you teach, but you never reach,
Cuz your speech, is held back by that gossip leech,
On a leash, tied to devil while he starts to screech,
You beseech, inner beauty but you lie through teeth,

Anyway, your lame, devil staked his claim, you’re a slave to blame,
Others for your shame, but you’re running maimed, scarring from the flame,
Oh no no no, your just stuck in frame,

The heart is black, when you whack others with attacks,
Backtrack, straight to hell cuz you talking smack,
And you lack, any class hide in your bivouac,
Payback, for your hate comes in after tax,

It’s the modern trend, slinging dirt on friend,
If they fail to blend, with you while distend,
You can’t make amends, you can’t straighten bends,
You did not intend, but your hate append,
Cannot say amen, can’t give helping hand,
You would rather spend, energy to damn,
Now the fire tends, to burn till no end,
Oh no no no, tragic fast descend,
