God Wipes Tears Poem by Nathan Streango

God Wipes Tears

Little Marcus on a mission buying milk from the store,
Came home a little late, burst right through the door,
And he calls his moms name but he hears no answer,
Cuz his mom passed away this morning from cancer,
So he calls little Suzie but she’s way too busy,
Cuz her daddy’s beating her till she turns all dizzy,
Then her daddy touches her when it’s late at night,
And the fear holds her breath till her face is white,
Little Josh is too poor for some food so he’s thin,
And he’s born a crack baby so he’s pale in the skin,
And his mom’s always smoking till she passes out,
Smoking crack, shooting up, forming foam at mouth,
Little Kelly’s too scared to stay out too late,
Last time she was out she was getting raped,
By her boyfriends friends while they sit and laugh,
Buys a gun and she vows she will get them back,
Little Eric’s in the hospital for popping purple pills,
Took too many purple ones like he tried to kill,
Himself and his best friend, who just passed away,
Three months up in rehab before he visits his grave,
And when Sarah met Johnny it was love at first sight,
They started having sex about every other night,
Then Sarah got pregnant but that wasn’t the plan,
So she’s getting rid of baby with a garbage can,

Little Marcus understood that when times are tough,
You should never forget the help that’s from up above,
So he gave his life to Jesus and after many years,
He went to the holy gates with no more tears,
Little Suzie lived in fear till she met Jesus Christ,
And the night was never dark cuz she lived in light,
She gave her life to Jesus for so many years,
And when she saw Jesus there were no more tears,
Little Josh was poor so he inherited the earth,
He lived his life according to the bibles words,
And when he went to Heaven after many years,
He left the poor behind and Jesus wiped his tears,
Little Kelly let forgiveness take the place of guns,
She converted countless people to Gods only Son,
And when she met her Savior after many years,
Jesus said Welcome child let me wipe your tears,
Little Eric lived in shame for his best friends death,
Till the day Jesus came and restored his breath,
And he followed his deliverer for many years,
And he sang up in heaven while he lost his tears,
When Sarah left Johnny she was racked with shame,
Till she fell in love with Jesus and he took the blame,
But she still thought of baby all throughout her years,
So the Lord was holding baby while he wiped her tears.
