Goodbye My Brother Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Goodbye My Brother

Rating: 5.0

Stone angels stand silent while the fall leafs blow
From dawn to dusk we live, from dust to dust we go
The roses of friends come together in a field of sorrow
Death brings flowers together in a mystical bouquet
A royal crystal vase is set on the table of tomorrow
Winter winds will give heed to springs green parade
A funeral is so final, goodbye dear friend, brothers part
Eyes with tears bring fountains of love, touch so gentle
Voices sweet and sincere comfort a broken lonely heart
Pictures of the living now gone are seen on the mantle
We are at the station, always coming and going
We laugh and cry; we go full circle, live and die
Love is the great teacher of living and growing
The eternal voice calls and we all must say goodbye
Goodbye my sweet brother, I know you are at peace
I shall join you soon, together forever, at the great feast

I have read this poignant poem in complete silence while the sadness engulfed my heart. It is the voice of a lonely soul who has suffered so much. I thank you for sharing the poem with us. following lines are unmatched: From dawn to dusk we live, from dust to dust we go Eyes with tears bring fountains of love, touch so gentle We laugh and cry; we go full circle, live and die
