Good Counsel Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Good Counsel

Rating: 5.0

If war is compelled
It must be repelled
With befitting reply
It should not be done half heartily

Peace is best option
But if that is put in question?
We must put aside relation
We should give clear indication

Both neighbors live in poverty
Yet they spend enough on weaponry
Third party benefits out of it
Yet the warning should be clearly sent

The faith will not be shaken
Still few soldiers’ death will not be taken lightly
It should not be construed as weakness
The consequences may have to be faced

Both sides may suffer
Despite they agree to differ
There will be loss of men and material
Lots of human bodies may be awaiting burial

This is just one example
Population may have to struggle
Face more poverty and hardship
Many houses may loose bread earner to weep

Let there be good counsel
Nothing goes right or well
War is just horrible term
We shut the door and avoid its turn
